90th LNGA Amateur Scoring

The final round of the LNGA 90th Amateur Championship played around the beautiful and challenging  TN Grasslands – Foxland Links Course was completed Wednesday afternoon after two weather delays. Some of the field playing 27 holes before the 36-hole cut to the low 60 and ties.

Rachel Kuehn, a rising sophomore at Wake Forest, posted a -10 (206) to claim another national title.Rachel is fresh off her victory in the North & South Women’s Amateur Championship at the Pinehurst Resort.  Rachel’s mother was her caddy for her last two titles, Brenda Corrie-Kuehn, an All-American and in the Hall Fame at Wake Forest, with many victories of her own, including playing twice on the United States Curtis Cup.

Rachel is headed to the U.S. Women’s Amateur in Rockville, MD next week.

Marissa Wenzler, University of Kentucky and Kennedy Pedigo of Southern Methodist University tied for Runner Up with a 54-hole total of 212.  Marissa and Kennedy join Rachel on the road to Rockville.

Kynadie Adams of Gallatin, TN claimed the LNGA Junior Medalist Champion with a 213, and Northwestern University captured the Howell Team Trophy for low combined team score of the lowest club or university with Brooke Riley at 213 and Kelly Su at 216.

The LNGA Champion, Runner Up and ties received an exemption into the 2020U.S. Women’s Amateur at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD August 3-9, 2020.
